Premier Coal is committed to supplying the Western Australian electricity market with a reliable, secure and competitive fuel source.

In June 2022 the Western Australian Government announced that all State-owned coal fired power stations will be retired by 2030. Premier Coal recognise that these changes are important for the transition to renewables. However, we have an important role to play in the current energy mix and will continue to focus on supplying a reliable, secure and competitive fuel source throughout the Transition.

Premier Coal are working proactively as a member of the Just Transition Working Group. We support the guiding principles of the Just Transition Plan and will continue to support our workers throughout the Transition away from coal fired power.
